Good Morning Everyone,
How are you doing?
Well today is day 6 into the craft and blog every
day in June
Today's theme that has been set is
Tell us all about your favourite
craft gadget and why it’s just the bees knees OR Craft something that has a
summer theme
As I am a little late into the game
(Next year I will have a load of projects lined up for it - if I can do it
again that is) so I today is a short post about my favourite Gadget and
why.
So my favourite gadget. Well without a
shadow of a doubt I have to say my Cameo.
I am a bit of a traitor though and I do
feel bad because I also have a cricut expression who I have had for a while now
and he has never let me down, and I do still use him, but unfortunately now my
crafting style has changed I feel that I am limited by him, this is the
reason why I purchased the Cameo machine.
So why do I love the Cameo.
The versatility of him! He can cut so
many beautiful images out at the same time, from different Cutting File
Companies, and so far he has never complained.
I enjoy being able to create my layouts
on the computer, and put everything where I want it and then cut it out and no
that every single piece is going to fit on the page together. This is were the
cricut can struggle. I know you can use the Cricut Craft Room - But I have
never gotten on with that! I am not by any means saying it is bad, but for me I
just could not use it - more then likely user error!
I also love that the cameo is a machine
that allows you to purchase just one single file at a time - so if you suddenly
realise you need a Shark for your layout or a border for your card, you can
just hop on to the silhouette store or any other company that you like and
purchase the single file.. I have gotten files for as little as 30p - were the
cricut you have to buy cartirdges and they can cost a lot of money - Again this
is something I have done in the past and I love that the cricut is just push
buttons and go but the versatility for me is no longer there!
So there you go a nice short post on my
favourite gadget.
Don't forget to leave a comment and let
me know what your favourite craft gadget is, this will also help you into the

Your Cameo sounds like a fab machine, love the idea of creating everything on the computer & then cutting it out......something else to go on my wish list lol!

Hey Kelly! I wish I had a Cameo, it just really amazing and I would love to be able to make cards with such detailed designs on them! I better save my pennies then! Mel xx
Hi Kelly
Your cameo sounds great. My favourite at the moment is my grand calibur. For some time I wanted to make bigger projects, my big shot did not allow me to. So now I am having a great time .

The storage thing is a pain with dies I must admit so to store it all on the computer would be useful. Hmmm think I will be popping back to pick your brains when I finally get one
