Building a Snow Man

Afternoon Guys,

Quick note - the winners of the give away will be contact today/tomorrow

Happy Christmas In July - This is my first post for Christmas In July and I am hoping to get at least 1 a week done, if not more!

So today I have been playing with a SVG File I got from My Scraps Chicks.

I picked up the "Belly Box" set when they were in the sale

I love how cute they are.

I left the sizes exactly how they come out when I opened the file, I just manipulated the snowman to a certain angle that would make it so the basic box fitted on an a4 page and then for his face, hat, eyes, buttons, and holly went on a separate sheet, I managed to get this onto a piece 11 x 4 Inches just by moving them into odd angles.

I cut it all out in white card stock, and then took a "London fog" memento ink pad, and inked around the edges of his feet, face and box.

I used my "black soot" distress ink pad and inked his hat and then ran it through a dotty embossing folder, I also used the "black soot" for his "coal"  I used my promarkers for his Holly and Ivy. I added a strip of red dotty ribbon. and mounted his strip from his hat which is cut separately onto foam pads to give a dimension.

Whilst the box was still flat I used my Peachy Keen Stamps and made a "snowman" face up from the Everyday body parts and more set (I am sure that was the correct one) I chalked some rose cheeks for him and added three freckles to each cheek.

I made the box up using a high tack wet glue - I would probably use a hot glue gun especially if these are to be handed out. - I then used foam tape to raise his feet up! I added white to the berry, leaves and coal and stuck these down flat.

Once he was made up, I scrunched some tissue paper up and filled his belly.

So there you go my first project for Christmas in July.. How cute is he!

Love him!
