Beary Christmas Fun

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today I have for you a Christmas Layout that I created and finished yesterday.
(Sorry be-warned it is a long post so a cuppa and a biscuit might be needed)

The page is a standard 12 x 12 page and the layout was created with the help of both my Cameo and explore.

The bear was cut using the Cricut Explore, I will show more of him in a moment.

The rest of the layout was created on the Cameo, and I photographed my sketch to share with you all

The layout is not in these colours but it gives you the idea of how I start creating my layouts - Now some of my layouts I have taken inspiration from other blogs (which I have owned up to) and have some I have followed sketch challenges.. This one I managed to create all by myself and I am so happy that the idea I had in my head, come out exactly how I wanted it to.. Normally this does not happen.

The measurements are (Inches)
White Layer - 12 x 12
Red Polka Dot - 11.75 x 11.75
Top Green Strip - 11.5 x 3.5
Top Stripe Strip - 11.5 x 1.75
Middle Section - 11.5 x 5.00
Bottom Green Section - 11.5 x 3.5
Bottom Stripe Section - 11.5 x 1.5
Wave Section - 11.5 x 1

This is how the papers all layered together
Next I started cutting my Bear out, I used my Explore for this as the cameo was busy cutting away the elements I had asked for it to cut. This is what he looked like when he was cut out, I cut him out in plain white card stock and used distress markers to colour him. He is from Kadoodle Bug Designs.
The bear was cut at 7.5 inches high by 4.5 inches wide
The bear was coloured using Brushed Corduroy for the main body and Vintage Photo for his ears. I used a Peachy Keen Character Face Parts Stamp for his eyes and chalk for his cheeks. I added glossy accents to his nose which was also coloured with Vintage Photo. The hat was coloured using promarker pens and I used Berry Red and Stardust Stickles Glue on the white to give it some sparkle. The holly was coloured using the Holly promarker pen and a red gem was added in the center.
Once everything was cut out I layered it all up on to the page to check everything fit and to see if I needed anything else cutting. (please don't worry nothing is stuck down at this point, that is why some of it is a bit wonky)
The title was cut using "Santa Sleigh" font this is a free font I got from Dafont.com and downloaded to my computer ( I will try and do a short post tomorrow about how to do this) The title was cut at 7.106 inches wide by 2.472 inches high I coloured this in with Fired Brick distress ink for the off set and used the Holly marker for the wording - this is the same for the 2009 at the bottom of the layout, the "2009" is cut at 2.808 inches long by 1.211 inches wide.
The Holly was cut using a "Miss Kates Cuttables" die I believe it has come from the "Christmas title" I cut this at 1.400 inches high by 2.278 inches wide. The holly was coloured with promarkers and I used Holly, Pine and Forest Green, the "Berry" was coloured using Cardinal Red and Berry Red.
This is the completed page! I think I have mentioned everything I have done with the page, I used a Resplendent Rectangle for the journal piece, unfortunately I don't have any photos for this year.

If there is anything you want to know and I haven't said what it is, then please leave a comment or email me and I will get back to you.
