Good Morning Everyone
I loved making this card I don't normally do Autumn cards but I think this is perfect for a September birthday.
I also created this card to go with the challenge over on the Papermill Direct Challenge Blog - this challenge also Autumn is to find a new design team member (or two)
Now for the lengthy process of how I made the card - bear with me it has a lot of elements to this one :-)
To start with I made my own 8x8 card blank - not forgetting to make it slightly less then 8x8 otherwise it wont fit in an envelope.
I used this beautiful orange/browny card stock from the Papermill this has been in my stash for some time now and I love it that much I am scared to use it, but this colour worked perfect with my idea.
The second layer is also from papermill and it is their white card stock, Normally I use hammered or linen but this is just a plain card stock I picked up from their store at the actual mill. On this layer I used three different colours of distress ink and stamped randomly two different leaves creating my own background. Another layer of that beautiful orange/browny colored card and then another layer of white card stock.
On the final layer of white card stock I ran it through a A4 Sue Wilson embossing folder, I spritzed it using Cosmic Shimmer Glimmer Mists, and then edged it with Gilding wax in a bronze colour. This
For the final layer I used the Spellbinders A2 Curved Die Set and used different designs to create the wave and again this was cut using the card stock from papermil.
To finish the card I stamped and embossed my messy rabbit and cut it out using Opulent Ovals by spellbinders, I coloured him in with promarker pens. (List Below) I edged the die with distress ink and gilding wax in the bronze colour.
I stamped and embossed in a silver detail embossing powder a sentiment on the orange/brown card and then cut this again using opulent ovals.
And finally my finishing touches was to create my own flower So i started of cutting a five petal flower three times from my cricut (You could use a Cameo or any manual dies) coloured it in with a promarker (spice) that matched my card stock perfectly, and shaped to fit a rose, I added three leaves again cut from my cricut, and coloured these in a dark green, dark brown and light brown and added gilding wax to give it a sheen. I love how these have come out they really look like autumn leaves to me. I finally finished the card with a brown ribbon and bow, and liquid pearls dotted in two groups of a group of five, and one a group of three.
So after all the waffling I hope your still with me and haven't giving up hope yet. Here is the card
