Update on Blog

Well,

I have had a bit of spare time today and decided that my blog needed a bit of an update. I have decided to go for the pink/green floral theme, and I must say that it seems pretty good.
Let me know what your thoughts on it are.

As you can see I have also been adding various cards as well, please feel free to comment on these.

Well that's me for now, keep safe

Congratulations Card

I have created this card for my best friend who has just found out that she has passed her first year at university which she is studying law. I created this using the Popcorn Kid Stamp Collection, and coloured it is using pro markers. The backing paper and insert have also been printed from the same cd, however, for the backing paper I have used the notepaper section and typed into the corner "Congratulations Sharni" I have used border peel offs around the notepaper section and to finsh the card off I have used a white bow.

Birthday Card

This card has been created for a family members birthday. For this card I have used a olive green card base (it is lighter then it looks on here) and using the popcorn mans collection I have printed the notepaper section in green, using the same cd I have also printed the pyrimage and insert using the green, taking from the card. The topper has been cut out and layered up, and then stuck onto a piece of white card that has been cut into a square, to finish the card off the I have added a peel off saying "happy birthday" and put three green square gems onto it. Also on the back of the card is a small picture of the layered topper (the back image is not layered up )

1st Wedding Anniversary Card

This is for my husband we have been married a year in July, I made a calander and for the month of February I used this image, my hubby loved it so thought I would use it for his wedding anniversary card. The card is a A4 easel card. I used the popcorn romance collection, for the backing paper the main page is a note paper, and the bottom of the easel is a proper backing sheet printed from the same collection the insert has also been printed from the same cd. For the topper I have used the stamp from Crafters Companion, and coloured this in used a combination of pro markers and lyra water colours, for the wording ALAN and the hearts I have used my cricut machine and the Dom Jaun Cartridge using the under pressure setting, the heart "stopper" has been used by cutting a die through the die cut which is a cut and emboss at the same time from "sizzix" in the shape of a heart.

Wedding Anniversary Card

This wedding anniversary card has been created for my aunty. to create this card I have used a deep rose pink card base, and printed from the popcorn flower collection the topper, insert and a notepaper, which I have used for the backing paper. Once the decoupage was dried I added some glitter to the flower and flower stems to give it a bit of glammer. For the sentiment I have used the Cuttlebug and the octogan collection of nestabilities, i cut this in white card and used a wedding anniversary peel off.

Birthday Card

This card was vreated for a male friends birthday. To create this card I have used a blue base card, a note paper background from the popcorn kids collection in pale blue colour and edged with silver border peels offs, the topper has been stamped and coloured in using a combination of Lyra Water Colours, and Pro Markers, the stars have been glittered, the image has ben cut into a rectangle with the corners rounded and the edges have been chalked using a pastel blue colour, to finish the topper off a blue bow has been added to the top left corner. For the sentiment happy birthday this has been cut using the Nestabilities, octagon collection, and has been chalked using the same blue as the topper, and the wording "happy birthday" has been put on using a silvere peel off, to finish the front of the card I have added three pastel blue square gems. For the front of the card I have used the Glitter Girls Bookatrix board and created a two page book out of cream and pink, both pages have been edged with silver peel offs. On the left side of the book is a decoupaged image from the Crafter's Companion Popcorn Bear Floral CD. Down the center of the "book" I have added a bow at the top and then pink and cream flowers to complete the middle bit of the card, on the right hand side of the card I have used the Cricut machine and cut the words mam and dad out, and these have been stuck flat.
